G'Day from Steve

Christmas

SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT CHRISTMAS.

One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:4-5

There is a spirit of peace that surrounds the manic chaos we all make of the Christmas season. It is quite ironic that we become so anxious and stressed out about the crazy build up to Christmas Day. The decorations!! The shopping!! The food!! The preparations that take place in hopes of a wonderful memory making day!!  And yet the whole time is all about a peace that surpasses all understanding... a time when God became man in the most innocent way possible... as a baby. He did this just to remind us how precious we are and how amazing the gift of life can be. Jesus came to bring eternal peace to planet earth. He came to reconcile us with the Father and cancel out the curse of sin and death we were all living under. Christmas is ultimately about the most amazing peace we will ever know. The peace and the joy of knowing Jesus.

This time of the year can also become a time of uncertainty and confusion for many... as the year comes to a close and a new one begins we can be lured into the doubts and fears of the unknown. But let me assure you. When Jesus is your life there is no room for anxiety and intimidation. He fills us with faith, hope and love and a confidence to face tomorrow as we seek first His kingdom.

Set your heart on all He has intended for you at this time. His goodness and His purposes.

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:13-14

Praying your week is an amazing expression of the joy and giving that comes with Christmas!

It's all about Jesus!

Godspeed,

Steve

LOOKING BACK IN GRATITUDE AT 2011

Steve and Kerrie

At the beginning of the year we had literally no bookings or tours scheduled. In truth we had no idea what the Lord had ahead for us.

The only thing on our hearts was to record another collection of hymns for the Heritage Hymns series. Heritage: Volume ll. Together with Bob and Paula Somma and some great musicians we produced another collection of historic songs that will be effective in ministry for decades to come. Apart from that the agenda for the year was God's. We look back now and we are amazed at the miles we have covered and the lives that have been transformed by the power of the Gospel.

Thank you for partnering with us. For some of you we are so grateful for your prayers and practical support. Without you we would not be doing this work. Thanks to those who have traveled with us, served with us, accommodated us, prayer for us and believed for God's highest with us!!  It has been an amazing year of ministry and miracles!! Thank you.

SUNDAY MORNING AT REDLAND CITY CHURCH

Church

The week before Christmas is always a busy and frantic time, but we enjoyed the day on Sunday serving the church in Redland.

The SkyPilot did some songs and I shared some great old Hymns from the Heritage CD, then ministered from Romans 5:1-5 of the hope we have with the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. It was a great morning with a number of decisions for Christ.

CAROLS BY CANDLE LIGHT

Carols

Over 600 people turned up for the first ever Redland City Church Carols event. The Gospel was presented in a very relevant and powerful way amidst the kid's activities and Carol's singing.

Despite the forecast of rain the night turned out to be perfect for a Community BBQ on the Church grounds. It was a fantastic success in reaching out to the local community around Redlands City. The mobile stage supplied by David Boske Ministries was brilliant. What a great night!

SUPER HEROES

SUPER HEROES

Pictured: Ps Steve Kennedy with Batman, Steve Grace and Spiderman ready for action!!

It's not every day you get to see the awesome foursome all together!!! It seems one of Santa's elf's stole all the Christmas presents this year and the Super Heroes were called in to find the culprit. Fortunately, Elvira the elf realised the error of her ways and apologised for stealing the joy of Christmas, learning that Christmas is all about giving... not taking!!

The night was completed with a spectacular Fireworks display for the local crowd at Redlands. It's amazing how effective you can be in reaching your community with creative evangelism. It was a great night!!!! People loved it!!

THE BLESSING OF GOOD FRIENDS

Friends

Steve and Suzie Kennedy have been serving in ministry for many years. We've encouraged each other along the way for over 20 years. They are now pastoring the fellowship at Redlands City Church and we had the privilege of spending the day with them on Sunday.

Steve is one of my mad Harley Davidson riding mates and we've made a few good memories together on motorcycle adventures. Like many of you.. we sure are blessed by the faithful dedication of good friends.

JANUARY MOTORCYCLE MISSION UPDATE

Bookings are coming in for a 10 day tour throughout NSW from January 14th - 24th. We are not promoting the Motorcycle Mission aspect to the public as interest has been quite strong just within out network of relationships and ministry friends. But if you would like to get involved please email steve@stevegrace.com and we'll respond when we get back to the office next week. So far we're planning events in Port Macquarie, Lake Macquarie, Bateman's Bay and Tamworth. With more towns to confirm real soon. The tour is a trial run to incorporate motorcycle ministry into our evangelistic concerts as we travel the country. Pray with us as we plan for the future!! Thanks.

We are constantly encouraged by some amazing letters in the mail from people who have been blessed by the ministry. As many of you pray regularly for our work we wanted you to also partner in the blessing of these letters. Thank you to each of you who take the time to communicate with us about what God is doing in your life. We really are encouraged by your words.
